This crystal originates from the Santa Eulalia region in Chihuahua, Mexico. Cave calcite forms underground through groundwater deposition. It often appears as stalactites and stalagmites, but in Santa Eulalia, it frequently develops into arborescent (tree-like) or branching structures.
